The location is good, but there's nothing within walking distance. It's a fair short drive to Tanunda (< 10 mins). The views to the hills are delightful from the upper floor rooms. The bed was very comfy and the room felt fresh and clean. The spa worked well, and the fluffy bath robes were a nice touch. Having a kitchenette was handy. Access to upper floors is via stairs. There's a golf course just next door. Parking is very convenient to the accomodation, but it's not undercover. The staff were very kind and helpful, and they left some little birthday surprises for my wife. We saw a few kangaroos around the property.

Albeit a few minutes drive from the town centre, the somewhat isolated location only adds to the experience. Great room, catering from working needs (desk, etc) to relaxation - in particular with the lounger providing the user with the most magnificent views to the fields; small kitchinette but that could become handy in longer stays. Not surprisingly, beds and bathroom were very comfortable, with all very good amenities at hand. The tempting swimming pool area was closed due to the cold weather, surrounded by the well cared property grounds. Evening meal and breakfast were very good.

I travelled with my sister and thought when i did the booking there were 2 beds, one queen and one double. When we got to our room we realised there was just a queen so we contacted reception and they located a room with 2 singles, no problem. I am sure on booking.com they showed a queen and a double bed. The view from the room was lovely though we didn't get outside much as it was freezing. It was great that checkout was 11 am too and we were able to checkin earlier than 2 pm which was perfect!

I think the restaurant is the main area that needs improvement to make this place extremely perfect for travelers. We ordered steak, but there were no vegetables included in the meal, and there were no sauce options for the steak. Additionally, the breakfast buffet lacked salad. I believe it would be beneficial to add more salads and vegetables to your meals. And my daughter's well done steak was overcooked and badly burned.

The staff were so friendly, every person we spoke to went out of their way to help. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant, it was busy but it didn't feel too crowded. The room was very comfortable, extremely clean, great layout and the balcony was a great bonus to give us another place to sit. Overall, a lovely place to spend the weekend. We will certainly be recommending novotel Barossa Valley to friends.
